10:30am Cape Fear:

Beach: 78F, water 84F, 29.91 falling, wind NNE 18, surf 4-6 feet.

Me (5 miles inland) ditto...with wind NNE 16

Local radar shows the outermost rain band mostly evaporated as it neared the coast; next band is about 80 miles out.
