Pre-Storm North Carolina

As the sun sets on the southern NC coast, scattered mid-level clouds are drifting in from the Atlantic. Higher up, far in the southeastern sky, thick arrows of bright white cirrus approach.

Am looking forward to tomorrow's fresh tropical breezes; and watching from afar the goings on north of here.

The month of September has begun. I think it's going to be a long one...
