Right... but a Stronger Earl would likely mean a stronger hurricane in the Maritimes.... although I believe it would kill the worst possibility - a long track CV storm into the Bay of Fundy. The ultimate surge funnel. And there is a city of 110K along the shores of the Bay of Fundy too....
