I gusted to 56 mph at my home weather station here in Valley Stream, about 9 miles to your west. I lost power for about 17-1/2 hours. That was the windiest storm I can remember since hurricane Glorira IMHO. Thanks to the battery backup in the Vantage Pro station and the datalogger, I didn't lose any data during the blackout. See Graph below of 56 MPH gust. I also attached a picture of a downed tree 1 street away from my location.
