I saw them on satellite before I left but thought they must be high enough that they would not be a problem since there was an 80% chance of favorable weather. And since this is likely the last night launch, I had to take the chance. But while that explains the high clouds, I'm not sure where those low clouds came from.

I left Tampa at 10:30PM and got there about 1AM. Left at 4:30AM and got back home a little before 8AM.

If I go tonight, I'll chance it and leave later and just walk further. Not that 3 and a half hours in the cold isn't fun of course, but I don't think I would do it twice in 24 hours.
