That is a long way from the quake, so it looks very much like a tsunami. And it would not have to be really large to be deadly of course. I'm not sure how big it would have to be to reshape that beach, but even a foot of fast moving water could certainly be deadly. And one to two feet of water can move a car depending on speed of the water. So anyone along the beach could easily have been swept away by it. That's the first I have heard about anything from that far north, so hopefully it did not have a large impact or I would guess there would be more coverage. Then again I heard on the news tonight about the Jacmel area and there is not a whole lot of aid down in that region, so perhaps there are a lot of areas that simply are not getting any help at all.
