Lake Superior warming

Posted by CypressTX on 11/27/2009, 11:57 am

this is still, without a doubt, the very coldest water I have ever swam in in my life - even colder than the old mine pits, 300+ ft deep, that cover the Iron Range of MN: http://news.discovery.com/earth/lake-superior-warming-winds.html

swimming in the Gulf is like taking a bath compared to this and other northern lakes

never even thought of how warming waters might affect wind speed before

the video is interesting, tho it has an annoying commercial at the beginning:  http://news.discovery.com/videos/news-monitoring-climate-change.html
