Iceberg story ....

The story above talks about icebergs heading toward New Zealand.  It says the last time they were spotted heading toward New Zealand was 2006, when they came within roughly 13 miles of the shoreline.

Later in the article, it says that global warming, through higher air and sea temperatures was to blame.  It definitively made that statement, as if it were fact.

Near the end of the article, it says that icebergs hadn't floated that close since 1931.

It's interesting to me that in 1931, apparently imminent global warming was occurring, and then, what, it subsided???

Glaciers are this close to New Zealand in 2009, and BOOM, it's global warming, no doubt.

Glaciers float that close to New Zealand in 1931, and it's just mother nature, I guess.

A bit of a conundrum if I am to believe that global warming is spinning out of control, but on the same token, that a similar occurrence nearly 80 years ago is not part of this same spinning out of control warming.
