As an aside ...

The 1926 hurricane finished off Portersville, Alabama, and the town no longer exists today.

There are a few remnant foundation stones, pilings, and building pieces left in the marshes of Portersville Bay, 200-300 yards offshore of today's shoreline.

Amazing, to see a place that was a tourist destination 90 years ago, reduced to a few scant pieces of rubble, IN THE WATER.
