Environmental Effects of Fire in Refinery

Today at approximately 2:00 am our local Gulf Petroleum refinery had an explosion. As of right now, 20 large storage tanks are on fire. I see a very dense black smoke cluod rising and rising from my office window. Wish I could post some picks byut don't know how.

What would be the inmediate environmental effects?
