Hurricane activity cycles

| I have been wondering if this slow season could be the beginning of a multi-year trend and not just a single year anomaly. Does anyone know if there are stats showing why the "active hurricane phase" that began in 1995 will necessarily last past now? How will it be determined when a prolonged era of decreased activity ensues? What are the signs and symptoms? Since hurricane activity is considered cyclical, are the experts factoring in any climate change effects? |
