Graph below showing relationship between time and depth of earthquakes (quality BB or better) beneath Mount Rainier from 08/21, 2008, through 09/21, 2009.

In this graph, 0 km depth corresponds to 3 km (about 2 miles) below the summit of Mount Rainier, which is the average station elevation of recording seismographs near Rainier.
