I am telling you that one of these next waves (94L) has classic written all over it.  Classic in the sense of storm path not power.

I think "Erika", yes, I said it, prowls west or WNW passing through the islands, and surviving the hurricane graveyard of the Eastern Caribbean.

As in recent years, CV waves have taken until just before the islands to get together, which resulted in a lot of Gulf storms, Caribbean storms, and Yucatan storms.  This wave is no different.  The dry air impact has lessened.  The ULLs are north and west enough that their shear impacts will lessen with time.  Overall shear is dropping in the next 48 hours as well, and we will see a named storm.

Look for Erika by Tuesday, when it will approach the island chain.
