I agree, Danny remains in a sheared environment. He will have a tough time gathering convection near the COC. I also think he will remain off shore, as a shortwave trough over the northern gulf ejects NE and forces a N-NE motion with an increase in forward speed and westerly shear. A less favorable upper air environment and lower OHC will result in the baroclinic process in a few days.

No doubt, 94L is on the upswing. Enviromnental conditions appear favorable for further strengthening during the next several days. Should the system strengthen slowly and remain south of 15N the shortwave trough in central atlantic will bypass soon to be Erika and allow the sub-tropical ridge force a continued westward track. Note: this system is large and may become our next big cane.
