I have a good friend in Boston (Navy-Bud), and he is getting skittish....

A 315 mile wide Cat 4 Hurricane forecast to be around 360 miles from Boston AND NYC on Saturday (at) 1400 has him truly (and rightfully so, IMHO) concerned.

When is too long? And how close is too close? At least NOLA had three days notice. NYC or Bean-town will have...? 18 hrs? Less?

30 million people are in the Mega-politan area. Where the 7734 are they supposed to evacuate to? Niagara?
