Tough Question on Trough and Forecast
Posted by BobbiStorm on 8/18/2009, 9:47 pm
This is the wording of the discussion... from this I would think I would see a "strong trough" in the five day forecast around Day 4 somewhere along the coast... at least Day 5

Yet every where I look along the coast from NC to NY there is no big change in temps or trough

NY
BILL IS EXPECTED TO
GRADUALLY TURN TO THE NORTHWEST DURING THE NEXT DAY OR TWO AS A
WEAKNESS DEVELOPS IN THE SUBTROPICAL RIDGE OVER THE WESTERN
ATLANTIC.  THEREAFTER...THE HURRICANE IS FORECAST TO TURN NORTHWARD
AHEAD OF A STRONG TROUGH MOVING INTO THE EASTERN UNITED STATES.
THE TRACK GUIDANCE ENVELOPE CHANGED VERY LITTLE THROUGH 48
HOURS.

Going with most northern of cities mentioned... it is HOT HOT HOT

I just don't understand that.. maybe its the heat here but something isn't adding up to me.

I am not arguing models... I am asking where the deep strong trough is that is not on any forecast I see ... I see hot hot weather.

Can someone please explain this to me.

Just hit me.. cause I'd like a trough personally..

Not feeling good, tired and granted not looping every loop in town.

I am asking... doesn't that seem odd?
