Best thing is to look at MIMIC-TPW to tell.

Developing TC's need to get their fuel from the ITCZ.  

That means that there has to be a dark orange band from the circulation to somewhere south into the ITCZ.

The remnants of Ana just doesn't have it at the moment.

That doesn't mean it can't get reconnected later.

I have seen that happen before when a system gets enough spin going, from some convective flare ups, to start drawing moist air out of the ICTZ.

So, for Ana, it could still be possible when it gets in the GOM.

850mb vorticity is still strong.

Let's see in another day or two.
