We all do dude. That's why we're here. Resist the urge to be in a storm, for your friends and neighbors that are not storm nuts like us have to deal with it too!
That said, the bigger Bill is the more likely he fishes. Big storms are steered by upper level winds and at high altitude the two High pressures not merged, like in the mid-atmosphere. That leaves a nice wide corridor for Bill to slide North through.
The real concern is that intensity forecasts. If they are wrong and Bill gets weak and starts begin steered by the mid-atmosphere, then a more Westerly component comes into play. At the mid-level, the two highs are conjoined and will keep him truckin' Westerly. |
