| I wrote this while watching a thunderstorm blow up big time and while watching Bill build up into a beautiful storm. http://hurricaneharbor.blogspot.com/ First off, my heart is always at Hurricane City everyone knows that but the value of these boards is massive and I want people to realize that... appreciate it. Online message boards do not dumb down weather. I suppose we figure if you could navigate your way here you must have some brains lol. Many here are professionals or are retired professionals. Many, should be professionals but life did not allow them to take that road and they have jobs, families to support and bills to pay and a trek back to school for a degree was just not in their cards. We all have to make choices in life... Personally, my first love was politics and acting though I wrote before I knew what a writer was... and I love the weather it is my passion. I was not good at math and it never occurred to me to study it and I have degrees in INR and English but wherever I went I tracked weather. I even tracked comma clouds in California... But, nothing is as complex and beautiful as tropical weather. And... I have learned more online on this board and granted..sitting up til the 2 am with friends made online who knew way more than me... explaining to me loops and model imagery and so much more than I would or could ever explain here on the message board. And, I have made good close friends in high places who have allowed me to go where most are not privledged enough to go and I have learned more.. and I have friends here who make me smile and laugh and have learned so much from everyone. And I try passing along info to others..and love sharing info... But... no matter how much knowledge there is at hurricane city or elsewhere online the last word IS the NHC there is so much knowledge that can be found and they are the FINAL WORD ... but sometimes its good to read between the lines and see the trends before the nightly news goes live with change in the official forecast. My great thanks to everyone here and all those who read the board who have sat up with me until 2am waiting for the newest explosion in the band of a storm on the NRL ;) Besos Bobbi ps..........BILL IS SOOOOO BEAUTIFUL!!!! |
