The convective burst IMHO happened when whatever convergence that Ana has hit the unstable air that PR was producing as it was heating up this morning.
Obviously there was no cap and air very unstable, from the surafce heating already going on this morning.
Hence the flare.
Convection should wash out.
Should look pathetic in the Mona Passage.
