Now official.
5-Day shows a WSW motion for the next 24 hours, then a WNW motion through the northern Leewards by 120 hours.
Of note, however, is the intensity forecast. The 72-120hr section shows an increase in winds from 60 to 90kts, in 15 kt increments (60->75->90.) It seems that, very rarely, does the NHC project 90kts from a newly-developed system 120 hours out.
That could be something to watch because more often than not, the NHC ends up low-balling the intensity forecasts. |
