Tropical Wave Near African Coast

A decent disturbance has moved off the west coast of Africa this morning. Unlike the last several waves, this one has potential to develop. The wave has good structure and curvature on sat imagery.

In addition, the system is embedded in a deep layer moist environment. But, most importantly it will be heading over 80+ degrees SST, low shear and an 850-700mb vorticity moving mostly south of 15 degrees were waters are warmest.

Few models on board take this developing system WNW. Like this to become Ana in a few days, as system gathers itself.
